Squirrels cannot withstand very low freezing temperature. If you are going to use this way then make sure that there will be a single squirrel in a single cage because if there will be more than one squirrel then when they will contact with each other their body will get warmer and thus this process will take a lot of time. Another thing that you need to take care of is that you should never use your personal freezer for this because they generally have fleas or parasites so making use of your freezer can infect it.

Carbon monoxide can also be used for this. This gas is harmful to humans too so do not inhale this gas. Place the Massachusetts squirrel along with cage in the trash can and then start the vehicle. Bag’s opening should be placed over the tailpipe of running car. Then fumes will fill in the bag and then the work will be done. You can also take it to the veterinarian and then the doctor will inject it with anesthetize. It is a costly method and also not a humane one. There is one another way which might not be liked by many which are a soft blow. You need to have a strong heart to try this way. As you can see that there are number of ways but it is never recommended to kill animals. Moreover, it is also illegal in some countries to kill squirrels.
